Qualitative research is at the heart of Benefits Realisation. Discovering the potential benefits for a new implementation (ICT, process change, product development) is a key skill of the NTF Group. For the past 7 years we have worked extensively in this field – Implementation of wireless technology at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, ICT for RPA in Sydney, implementation of the ieMR in 8 hospitals in Queensland for QH, a clinician communication system for Princess Alexandra Hospital, a new software solution for managing tissue banks. Joan Nelson has spoken at international conferences on the role of qualitative research in finding the benefits for new processes and ICT implementations.
